Lower School Hall:


Microphones (Stored in the AV cabinet)

  • Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds or slide the switch to the on position.
  • Once the digital screen illuminates, you will need to adjust the individual handheld microphone volumes. (MIC 1 or 2)
  • You can do this by checking the numbered sticker on the handheld microphone & referring to the number above the dial on the mixer.

Example:  MIC 1 is too quiet and needs to be louder. – Find MIC 1 on the mixer and adjust the volume knob until the desired volume is achieved.


Computer (Desktop)

  • Power on the desktop & monitor if off.
  • Log in as your domain account or use the visitor account. (Details can be found above the desktop on the wall)
  • Ensure the audio output on Windows is set to ‘Speakers/Headphones (Realtek®) Audio.’
  • Before altering the volume on the mixer please ensure the desktop is at 100% volume & then adjust the volume dial on the wall to the desired volume. 
  • The laptop is routed through ‘PC’ (CH9/10) on the mixer.


Projector

  • On / Off buttons can be found on the wall plate above the rack & these are labelled according to their commands. 
  • Raise & lower buttons can also be found here for the projector screen.
  • By default, the projector is plugged into the laptop and will mirror the display.
  • If there is no input showing on the projector, ensure the projector is on the HDMI input 1.
  • Using the controller to select input, please select HDMI 1. (Please ask the IT TEAM for the remote)                  
  • If there is still no display on the projector, please push Windows Key + P on the desktop keyboard. This will display a panel on the side of the screen, then click Duplicate.


CD / DVD Player

  • Power on the Desktop.
  • Log in as your domain account or use the visitor account details found above the rack on the wall.
  • Please use VLC Player to playback DVD and audio content via the Desktop- This can be found in the start menu.
  • Ensure the audio output on Windows is set to ‘Speakers/Headphones (Realtek®) Audio.’
  • Before altering the volume on the mixer, please ensure the desktop is at 100% volume & then adjust the volume dial on the mixer (labelled PC) to the desired volume.
  • The desktop is routed through AUDIO IN (CH9/10) on the mixer.


Bluetooth Audio

  • To pair a new device, please push and hold the pair button for 5 seconds. You will see the screen change to 'Pairing Mode'.
  • Select Bluetooth settings on the device to be paired, then select ‘DN-500CB’ from the list to pair this device.
  • Once connected, you should now be able to play music through the AV system.
  • To alter the volume, it is recommended to use the dials on the device but you can also use the volume toggle on the wall.


Mixer

  • Here you will find all the input volumes for the Microphones, Desktop & Bluetooth audio.
  • The volume dials should be set at the 2 - 3 o’clock position for a reasonable level of audio without distortion.
  • On the far right by the power switch, you will find the master volume dial. This should be set to the same position to ensure a normal audio level.


Upper School Hall:


Microphones (Stored in the AV cabinet)

  • Log in as your domain account or use the visitor account. (Details can be found above the laptop cabinet on the wall)
  • Ensure the audio output on Windows is set to ‘(4K 2Ch Audio (AMD High Definition Audio).’
  • Before altering the volume on the wall toggle, Please ensure the laptop is at 100% volume & then adjust the volume toggle on the wall to the desired volume. 
  • The laptop is routed through the ‘TV’ source input on the dbx mixer.


Projector

  • On / Off buttons can be found on the wall plate above the laptop cabinet, these are labelled according to their commands.
  • Raise & lower buttons can be found here for the projector screen.
  • By default, the projector is plugged into the laptop and will mirror the display.
  • If there is no input showing on the projector, ensure the projector is on the HDMI 1.

Bluetooth Audio

  • To pair a new device, please push and hold the pair button for 5 seconds. You will see the screen change to 'Pairing Mode'.
  • Select Bluetooth settings on the device to be paired, then select ‘DN-500CB’ from the device list to begin pairing this device.
  • Once connected, you will need to switch the source to Jukebox on the dbx unit using the 'Source Selection Wheel'. Once complete, you should now be able to play music through the AV system.
  • To alter the volume, it is recommended to use the dials on the device but you can also use the volume toggle on the wall.


Mixer

  • Here you will find all the input volumes for Microphones 1 & 2.
  • The volume dials should be set at the 2 - 3 o’clock position for a reasonable level of audio without distortion.
  • On the far right by the power switch, you will find the master volume dial. This should be set to the same position to ensure a normal audio level.


dbx (Audio Source Selector)


  • Here you will find the sources: TV, Jukebox and satellite. The only control you will need to alter will be the far-left 'Source Selector'. You will see the source change on the screen as the selector scrolls left or right.
  • There is a source list inside the AV rack as follows below:
  • TVThe laptop is routed through this input.
  • JukeboxThe Bluetooth unit is routed through this input.
  • JukeboxThe CD player in the AV rack is routed through this input.
  • Please do not touch anything else - If in doubt, Contact the IT Team!


US Dining Hall:  (Note: This system can be temperamental)


CD Player

  • Power on the CD player and insert a CD.
  • Use the front controls for cueing the desired track & playing/pausing status.
  • The volume can be altered using the volume knob in the rack labelled ‘CD INPUT’ (CH7/8) or by using the volume control knob on the wall.


Bluetooth Audio

  • To pair a new device, please push and hold the pair button for 5 seconds. You will see the screen change to 'Pairing Mode'.
  • Select Bluetooth settings on the device to be paired, then select ‘DN-200BR’ and pair to this device.
  • Once connected, you should now be able to play music through the AV system.
  • To alter the volume, it is recommended to use the dials on the device but you can also use the volume toggle on top of the rack.

Mixer

  • Here you will find all the input volumes for the Microphones, Aux and Bluetooth audio.
  • The volume knobs should be set at the 2 - 3 o’clock position for a reasonable level of audio without distortion.
  • On the far right by the power switch, you will find the master volume knob. This should be set to the same position to ensure a normal audio level.
